When the first grandchild arrives, grandparents go into overdrive and buy things online that are just too cute for words, because words are inadequate. In this modern era, grandparents are lucky if they have internet access and luckier still if their far-distant children are able to snap a few photos from within the tornado and send them out.

To be a boy, to becme a man … skills include patience, humor, forbearing, loving blindness, and strength. We want our boys to be strong, but not mean. A warrior who knows the value of restraint.
